Authentic English Christmas Pudding means a pudding made with suet. It enhances the flavour and, because less is needed, the resulting pudding is lower in fat than others. That is not to say Crooked Creek’s pudding is not rich – it’s jubilant with fruit (52%) and Stout (10%) and Muscat.
No less than 23 ingredients jostle with each other to give layers of taste as you indulge – what celebrating should be all about. There is no other pudding like Christmas pudding, steeped in tradition and even banned at one time in history for being too extravagant. So it’s worth doing it authentically and despite Suet being more expensive than butter, it is what Crooked Creek make their puddings with.
Already steamed, all that is left for you to do is gently reheat in its basin, tip out and serve as a fitting finale to your festive meal.
